Marie-Claude was born in Quebec and ever since she was little she has been fascinated by music, art, nature, and human history. She started playing piano & guitar when she was 8 year old and she carries her love of music everywhere she goes. MC graduated from the College of Chicoutimi's Human Science Department and its humanitarian aid programme through which she travelled to the Dominican Republic to help people in need. After this amazing experience she moved to Montreal in 2011 to study Visual and Scenic Arts at the College Vieux. There MC lived in a commune with six other people and started deejaying. In Montreal, she became involved in city garden projects, tiny house development & permaculture studies. She also discovered the underground Montreal music scene with her group of friends and started to immerse herself in music again, learning about Turntable, Ableton, AKAI, Serato, Scratch and everything that goes with sound-making.
Then her friends started their own sound company called: NobassNofun and it became a success. Montreal was a amazing experience for her, this is where she learned so much, but after three years she decided to move to BC for the mountain lifestyle she had been looking for. The scene in Fernie has allowed Marie-Claude (aka E.M.C.I.) to offer a spectacular audio visual experiences through her own party production company called Wildlife Productions. Wildlife Productions is a collective of VJs, DJs & Artists from all over the East Kootenays and its founder, E.M.C.I., is a DJ and events planner in one! Keep an eye out for E.M.C.I. because she is always ready to plan the next theme party or fundraise money for a good cause!
